Elliots Beach - Chennai (Tamilnadu)

Elloits Beach is an exclusive retreat of Europeans during the Raj, near the upmarket suburb of Besant Nagar in south Chennai, actually this beach is smaller than the Marina but equally popular, particularly with trendy yuppies. You can try some spiced, steamed peanuts and cutely cut kilimooku (totapuri) mango from the pushcart vendors. Besant Nagar's Second Avenue, the city's unofficial food street is just 5 minutes walk from the beach.
